For this activity, make a list of ten food items that you could take with you. Please think carefully about what you will take as you won’t have access to a refrigerator or freezer while at sea. Please explain why you would select each item.
On your blog, post your list of 10 food items you would take on an ocean voyage and the reasons why you chose these items.
- Baked Beans - Has a lot of fibre and protein.
- Water - Help you survive and not get dehydrated.
- Beef Jerky - A good snack(Dried meat).
- Nut Protein bars - Gives you energy and protein.
- Noodles - You can have them cooked or raw.
- Canned Soup - Has meat and veges,Just heat it up.
- Rice - Cheap and lasts long.
- Canned spaghetti - Put on toast.
- Bread- Make toast.
- Jam - For the bread.

Thank you for doing week one, day one, activity one! I really like how you’ve made a post with writing as well as images - it makes it more eye-catching and effective! The food items you’ve listed sound delicious too, it’s good that you’ve thought about what would last three weeks! Well done on explaining why you would take those particular food items, instead of just listing them. I would definitely take spaghetti too, it’s so yum!
Have you ever spent time in a canoe or kayak? Do you think you’d like to do a three-week ocean voyage?
Next time you use images from the internet, make sure you attribute the image - this just means copy the link from where you found the image and put it next to the image on the post, so we can see exactly where you found it :)

ReplyDeleteIt is so awesome to see that you started the Summer Learning Journey back in December. One of my favourite activities of the programme was the very first one, probably because I like talking about food.
Thank you for sharing the 10 foods you would want to take on your voyage with you across the ocean, I really like how specific foods are that you have chosen.
I thought I’d just jump on your blog post today and leave a comment as a little reminder that the programme finishes next Friday - 24th January and it would be great to see you put together some more responses to the activities for this Summer.
